About Rocky Ripple
A river town between the canal and the White River
Rocky Ripple was settled about 1910 as a working-class resort between the Central Canal and the White River, and it often flooded in its early years. It incorporated in 1927, and a WPA-funded levee was built in 1937. More than 300 of its homes sit in the White River floodplain, and the town had 652 residents at the 2020 census.
