About Franklin
Franklin was founded in 1823 as the Johnson County seat and incorporated as a city in 1861. Franklin College, founded in 1834, became Indiana's first coeducational college in 1842, the downtown is anchored by the courthouse and the 1922 Artcraft Theatre, and Victorian-style houses line its main streets. The city had 25,313 residents at the 2020 census.
Those Victorian houses are the core of our Franklin work: clapboard siding with many layers of paint, porches, brackets and trim that need careful prep, and interiors with original woodwork. Newer subdivisions around the edges of the city bring the usual interior and window treatment work too.

Roman Shades for Franklin homesPlanning notes
On Victorian houses, peeling paint on the lower clapboards usually means water is getting in, so we find the cause before painting. Paint from before 1978 is scraped with lead-safe containment and careful cleanup.
Exterior work is booked for late spring to early fall, and porch floors when nights are warm enough for the coating to cure. Interior work runs all year.
