About Homecroft
A 1920s suburb of brick and stone homes
Homecroft sits about four and a half miles south of downtown beside Madison Avenue. The Gates Real Estate Company bought and named the land in 1923 as a suburb for middle-class families, and its houses are brick and stone veneered with Tudor Revival and Colonial Revival details. The Homecroft Historic District was listed on the National Register in 1996, and the town had 751 residents at the 2020 census.
